Can I use fruits instead of water to treat dehydration?

When you are dehydrated fruits and vegetables that are high in water content can be just as effective, or even more effective than water if you are able to consume it in sufficient quantities. When you consume the right fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, strawberries, oranges, tomatoes, papaya, grapefruit, grapes, cucumber, lettuce, spinach, and radishes it will have a hydrating effect. All these fruits and vegetables contain hydrating sugars, minerals, and salts and almost work in the same way as electrolyte drinks. It is also a good way to add variety instead of drinking only water.
