No, men need slightly more water than women to function optimally. Experts from the European Food Safety Authority concluded in a study that on average men need about 2,5 liters of water daily while women need approximately 2 liters of water. This said it means that these amounts are through both drinking and consuming foods. It is recommended that between 70% and 80% should be from liquid sources and the remaining percentage should be from food sources.  The recommended fluids vary, but at the top of the list water is highly recommended. Drinks that contain no sugar, additives, and other substances are encouraged.
