It is really dangerous to continue if you experience symptoms of dehydration. The best advice is to rehydrate properly first before you continue. Sports drinks, especially electrolyte drinks are the best rehydration fluids to consume. Electrolyte drinks have the ability to rehydrate your body faster than water can. Therefore it is vital to keep a good electrolyte drink at hand regardless of how long or short, difficult or easy the hiking trail might be.  If your hiking trip goes over a few days, make sure you hydrate your body sufficiently after a day’s walk before you take on the next day.
